Macroeconomic data
243 indicators published by the World Bank, split into 13 categories, from 1960 to today. Each category opens a page comparing its indicators across France, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, United States, China.
The source
Every series in this section comes from the World Bank, through its World Bank Open Data interface. That database gathers the official statistics reported by national statistical institutes and international organisations, harmonised so that countries can be compared.
The data is annual. Our servers fetch it once a day and cache it: the World Bank is never called from your browser. Series do not all cover the same period, and some indicators are not published for every country: where a value is missing, it is simply left out of the display.
